Pros and cons of iPacking - Easy Trip Packing List app for iPhone and iPad

iPacking - Easy Trip Packing List app good for

This app is so creative. It helps you more efficiently complete the packed, and use simple gestures to manage every items.
Really like the interface. Easy to add items and the preset lists are nice and can be modified too but I like making my own. I like checking off as I go but theres a fun "recording packing" option that takes you through each item that Ill try next trip.
I used to use reminders to pack so I could check off things as I pack them but this is way easier and more convenient. Try it!!

Some bad moments

Very good app, helped me many times whenerver i needed, but could release an update whith support for portuguese
I like the way the app and interface look and feel. But simple features are missing. Please add the ability to edit the categories and add custom categories. Packing items should be able to be added to the custom categories.
All I want is a premade list of suggested things to bring for a variety of trip types. What the heck are these spinning circles and swipe gestures for? Awefully confusing in my opinion. If you think packing should be a simple matter of running through a line-item list then this app is NOT for you. Way too flashy with loads of pointless features and buttons but little real benefit. Maybe you have to be a young tech junkie and willing to learn a new way to pack? I just feel that a traditional list has and does fine. I dont see how it can be "better" with all this flashy jazz. I dont even understand how someone could invest this much effort into developing this app without thinking, that this is overkill and pointless? Maybe this is a school project to showcase programming skills? If that is the case, then Id give A+!
It hangs up. It lacks documentation. It assumes that business trip are taken by men only(presumably the authors assume that women are all housewives).
There is no feature to add your own items that may not be on their lists of things for you to bring. Useless for me sadly.
If you don’t need more categories. For example, if you need to pack dress socks and athletic socks, it doesn’t give you an option to discern those. Unless you create your own items “Athletic Socks” and “Dress Socks” in which they do not show up under the “Clothing” category, and there is no option to change the category they belong to. Until this is fixed it’s not as useful as it should be.
